The clan was rapidly growing, a new queen, a rouge named Holly, she'd joined then. Though she was shunned, unwanted by our group of loyal warriors, her name needed to change. Luckily, the she-cat agreed to change her name and Pearlstar named her Hollystep. I remember the sudden release of tension that was passed throughout the clan as she was given a clan name, it was incredible how much such simple things could mess with a cat's mind.
With a dozy grin on my delicate featured face, I sauntered out of the HazeClan camp, my striped tail lazily waving in the air. On mute paws I deftly advanced into the wet terrain, my orange ears pricked for the slightest signs of movement. I was in a dazed mood.. rather than listening for mobile prey, I found myself senselessly drifting through the HazeClan marshes and rivers.
I was in a dreamy-like state, the look in my pupils were hazy, indistinct, as my gaze bore into the greenery. I heard the scamper of paws and instantly detected it as a squirrel, well, that was odd. I however, did dismiss it with a slight flick of my tail. I was pondering on the clan news, we had queens and our clan was being well built, but who would be deputy? I asked myself, curiosity ripping at my consciousness.
