The Leaders of Shadeclan have always made their home, like so many of their clan-mates, at the base of a tree, within some gnarled roots. It is the biggest oak tree in the camp, and the Leader uses it's roots as a den, and it's lowest hanging branch as a gathering place for ceremonies and announcements.

The Medicine Cats' Den in Shadeclan is actually quite simple. It is cut off from the main camp by a small tunnel in the main camp wall. Through it is another, smaller clearing with it's own walls. The Medicine Cats use the roots of an ancient oak tree to store their herbs, and they also sleep there.

The Elders' Den here in Shadeclan is located in a scoop in the ground that is covered by the low hanging branches of a hazel tree. There is a bare spot just outside the den which is good for relaxing and telling stories to kits.

The Warriors' Den located within the gnarled roots of two ancient oak trees that are side by side. Ferns and low branches provide the warriors with some head cover.

The Apprentices' Den is located in a large thing of ferns near the edge of camp. There are some remains of an ancient, dead tree next to it that can often times be used for practice, or just to hang out. Apprentices stay here until they receive their warrior names.
