I. we shouldn't have to say this, but no impersonating other members. this is an absolute no go. it can be considered a form of bullying, which we have zero tolerance for here on midnight.
II. we don't have an official post count, but we do like to hold the term "quality over quantity" to high regards. So, as long as your post is meaningful, and contributes in some way, there is no issue here.
III. it is encouraged, but not required, to post in the absences board if you are going on hiatus. staff members, this mostly applies to you. this helps us to figure out who is active or not.
IV. you are to have only five accounts. if you desire more, you may purchase them, among many other things, from our local site store, using stars earned from posting and contests.
V. no art theft. period.
VI. no powerplay is allowed, including godmodding. also, no trick links.
VII. the last thing we want to do is limit anyone creatively. however, all large plots, powers of any sort, major injuries or death, crossing over borders and the like must be run by a staff member for approval. if you've gotten this far, hooray for you! pm rhapsody with the phrase "this is my oath to you" so we know you've read the rules. there's a method to this madness, we promise.
VIII. avatars and signatures are nice, but they can be obnoxious if they stretch the board. if you're going to have a signature, it needs to be 500 by 300 pixels. we do allow some lenience with this rule, but please, please, please try your hardest to stay within the guidelines.
VIIII. no sexual content or explicit language. you know where the line is. don't cross it.
IX. let's be awesome, and show gratitude to our lovely site-members and staffers. remember: be awesome. you're always horrible when you are disrespectful. if you have a problem with with another member, take it to PM or message one of our staff members.
X. respect, respect, respect. this site will not function without it. by joining the midnight skies, you agree to respect every one - members, staff, and guests alike. you're expected to commemorate this rule with all of your actions, and words here on midnight. also, please no fighting on the site! if you have real life drama that needs to be addressed, take it to AIM, MSN, or at the very least, PM, please and thank you.
