Sweet morning scent, dew wet grass, fluffy white clouds, and a purple orange sky. It was the crack of dawn and a new morning was starting. Cats started to awake, and soon sounds filled the silent air. Resting in the warriors den was the newly made deputy Skyshade. Her forest green eyes fluttered open and she yawned tiredly as she shook her fur out and stood up cleaning herself off before stretching her long limbs. With a sigh, she left the den and winced as the harsh rays of sun light burnt her eyes.
Ow ok ya .. hi sun your nice she thought and sighed as she looked at the fresh-kill pile. It was low and she wasn't hungry, but she did want to hunt. So with a blink and a few more stretches the deputy slid out of camp and padded a bit of ways before stopping and smiling at the land she lived on. Dewclan's territory. It was utterly beautiful. Sighing, the deputy purred and then crouched down going on her hunting. After a bit she heard a bit more.
It smelled of cat. Lifting her head, she looked around "Hello?"

The midnight shecat had been restless all night and couldn't sleep. So she rose from the warriors den, noticing that the deputy had already gone. 'Probably on patrol.' She mused as she left the den and headed out of camp for some fresh air and try to relax.
As she padded around lost in her thoughts she hasn't noticed the scent of another cat until a voice broke her out of her thoughts. Her head snapped up and blue eyes looked surprised. "Oh. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturbed you. She moewed dipping her head to the deputy

Hearing the warrior, the she-cat relaxed and then smiled "Oh no, your fine Midnightfall." she mewled to the onyx she-cat. She flicked her black ears toward her and then stopped and sniffed the air with her gray nose. Twitching her tail she crouched down and stalked away for a minute coming back with a vole.
After sitting the vole down, the deputy looked at her "Are you out hunting to? If so why don't we team up, make this a patrol of sorts" she suggested with a kind smile. The deputy always tried to be warm around her cat, though sometimes needing to be strict she was pretty much lay back.
While waiting for a response she went ahead and buried her prey looking back toward the warrior for a answer.

Oh actually I just had alot on my mind and needed to take a walk." She mumbled. "But if you want I guess we can hunt together." She replied nodding

Hearing that, the deputy tilted her head "Are you ok Midnightfall?" Skyshade asked a bit concerned and then shook her head "We can walk, you know its not very safe to out alone" the she-cat said and crouched down as she yawned.

Still concerned, she sighed and shook her head. If the warrior does not wish to speak about it, do no push on. she told herself and then nodded "If you say so" she mewled and then smiled as she went back to her hunting. The deputy continued to sniff the air and listen closely for prey.
That's when the warrior asked how Midnightfall was doing, turning her head she blinked "Everything is well with me .. as for Mothstar I do not know" she mewled "I have not talked to Mothstar in a bit" she explained.

Oh." She nodded in understandingly before rising to her paws and sniffed the air. Might as well hunt while she was here.

"So how has warrior life treated you?" she asked trying to make small talk. Skyshade never was the social creature but she was trying to open up to people more. It wasn't working to terribly well and the fact that it was she really hated but what were you going to do?

Hearing that she was the first cat this she-cat talked to, the deputies head shot up and she looked over at her shocked. "Are you serious Midnightfall?" she asked her forest green eyes huge. She stared at the she-cat for a few and blinked.
I'm the first cat ... well that's rather horrifying! I mean .. sh-shes .. what?! the deputy shook her head. "You gotta get out more, speaking to the deputy first has to be scary, I would be scared." she said with a soft laugh.

She blinked at her watching her reaction. She tilted her head confused. "I'm not scared. I mean yes your higher rank then me but that doesn't give me reason to be nervous. Your still my clanmate." She meowed shrugging.

"Scared was the wrong wording. Shyness." she corrected herself and then chuckled "Good, I'm glad you trust your clan mates. Not everyone does" she said and shook her head "But then again, the cats with little trust tend to be the most disloyal cat youll meet." she mewled.
"Or at least that's what I think"

Nodding the deputy looked at her and smiled, then she saw the scenery behind her and blinked "Oh heavens .. its getting late, I must head back so the leader can have some time outside" she mewled.
