If you have an account that you don't want anymore, but don't have the heart to delete, you can put it up for adoption here.
I want to put my character up for adoption. Now what?
First and foremost, you'll post below using the provided code with your request. If we accept your adoption application, then Rhapsody or Pearlstar will PM you.
I was accepted. Now what?
Now, you'll need to change your password and email and unlink your adoptive account from your global account. If you don't know how to do this, see below. After you do this, reply to the PM we will have sent you with your new login information. We will then reward you with five-hundredstars (500) for your contribution, which can be used in the Paws' shop or here at the shelter. (The price may be raised if we see fit.)
I don't know how to unlink my account. Now what?
To unlink your account, you will first need to visit Proboards. Login using your global email and password. Then, go to account settings, and choose which account you would like to unlink.
Anything else?
We do, however, have some conditions.
• You must provide a reference picture, preferably made from Mweor. (It just keeps it neat that way.) This part is absolutely imperative!
• Your character must be unique in some way! Obviously, we can't buy all the kitties, and 500 stars is a lot of money for us to be spending! So the character you're giving away must be interesting, unique, and hopefully well-developed. (This is also to prevent people from creating three thousand kit characters just to rack up the cash.)
• For your protection and others, you MUST have unlinked your account, changed your password, and changed your email. If you don't have an email you're comfortably using, we do have a spare that you may use, which you can PM Rhapsody for. PLEASE keep in mind that if you do adopt an account and we somehow missed that the character has been unlinked after being accepted, we do require that you notify us immediately.
• You must not have exceeded our five account maximum rule, unless you have purchased an extra account allowance from the Paws' shop.
I want to adopt. Now what?
Our shelter characters range from 50-200 stars. You will need to pick a kitty from our shelter and post below with the provided code. First come, first serve, with the exception of reservations. You may reserve a cat for a fee of 50 stars which will be deducted as an add-on to the original price when you purchase your new character. We will hold your reservation for two weeks. If you fail to purchase your cat by then, we will put it back up for reservation to the public.
Adoption FAQ
• Am I allowed to modify anything when I adopt my character?
Yes. You can manipulate the history, personality, appearance, and name as you wish. The only thing you can not do is change the clan and you must abide by our site rules regarding character traits.
• How much do you pay for giving a cat up for adoption?
It varies, starting (minimum) at 500.
• How much do you charge for adopting a cat?
It varies, beginning at 50 stars and maxing out at 200. This does not include reservation fees.
• What if two weeks passes since I reserved the cat and I still haven't adopted it?
Reservations can be used as extra time to purchase an additional character slot or earn the money the cat costs, but they only last for two weeks. Once these two weeks pass, we will still deduct the 50 stars and reopen the cat to the public to adopt.
• Can I reserve a second time for an additional 50 stars?
No. You can still adopt it, but you can not reserve a second time.
